Default Sword question

ok, I just got a Gold Shadow Blade with max dmg and a Dmg +14% , armor -10 while attacking, is it worth using? is it ok to use weapons with armor -10 while attacking? im sure its better to have 15, -5 energy, but is armor -10 ok as well? how much of a difference does it make?

Armor -10 is somewhat of a risk for a warrior. I find almost the other 15^ permanent (-5 energy / -1 health regen / -1 energy regen) are better options.

Try it for yourself, see if you notice much of a difference.

Hey there,
The -10 armor is not that significant vs physical dmg, because of the +20 bonus, when you get attked by ele dmg then it can be a problem, and then again u can still put on the +10armor vs ele insig or the 20armor vs ele req13 str, and add a +5 defence mod to ur sword, then it only -5armor

I use 15% -10 always for my weapons, execpt my 2year old Long sword that has 15^50 that i cant change and its customed >.<

I'd much rather use a 15/-5 sword over a 14/-10 sword. -5 energy on a bar with 1 or 2 energy skills barely hurts. -10 armor on a melee character does.

yea, my main sword is a gladius with 15/-5 energy, 20/19 sundering and +29 fortitude, but this shadow blade just looks so good, lol.

i guess i will try it out and see how much of a difference it makes in damage taken, hopefully it isnt too much.

-10 armor is going to be nasty if you don't have a prot hero or a non-retarded monk with Prot Spirit when fighting high level Rits and Eles, I'd sell it. There's no real reason to use it over 15/-5.

Shadow blades are common with all the chest runners in toa, buying a cheap 15^50 or 15% -5 won't cost you much.
